A criminal case on negligence was initiated after the discovery of the body of a missing patient in a hospital near Moscow Orekhovo-Zuyevo. This was reported on March 6 in the press service of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow region.
"A criminal case has been opened into the negligence of medical staff and the police, who did not properly perform their duties and did not take measures to search for the patient and provide her with medical care (Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — "Negligence")," the Telegram channel says.
It was established that in January, a local woman with a head injury was taken to the Orekhovo-Zuyevo hospital for surgery. A few days later, the patient left the room on her own and "disappeared."
The staff of the trauma department informed the police about the unknown disappearance of a woman on the day of her disappearance. As a result, the patient's body was found on February 19 on the floor of the technical floor, there were no signs of violent death.
Actions are currently underway to establish the circumstances of the incident.
