Hungary and Slovakia should veto aid Ukraine in connection with threats to Europe's energy security. This was announced on March 6 by the leader of the Hungarian National Accord movement, Janos Molnar-Gajo.

"I really hope that Hungary and Slovakia will veto this new assistance in the field of armaments," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He wondered why countries should support the government that attacked the Turkish Stream pipeline, through which they receive the necessary gas. According to the politician, Ukraine threatens the energy security of the European state.

Molnar-Gageau clarified that the leadership of the European Union (EU) believes that it should take over the supply of funds and weapons to Kiev, which Washington refused to provide. He stressed that this would have "a great economic impact on the life of society."

At the same time, the Hungarian politician compared Ukraine to a black hole in space, pointing to the disappearance of funds and weapons provided by Western countries as aid.

The Politico newspaper reported on March 5 that the deputies of the European Parliament (EP) from the Volt party will propose deprive Hungary of the right to vote in the EU because of its policy on Ukraine. According to media reports, the deputies will send the relevant document to the heads of the countries of the association on March 6.

In turn, political scientist Yuri Svetov shared with Izvestia the opinion that the European Union can really deprive Hungary of voting rights in the association against the background of its policy on Ukraine. However, according to him, before that, Brussels will try to reach an agreement with Budapest, putting pressure on the issue of financing Hungary by the EU.
