The Federation Council criticized Macron for speaking about Russia's threat to Europe

French President Emmanuel Macron is imposing an erroneous picture of what is happening on the world. This was announced on March 6 by Konstantin Kosachev, Vice Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.
"... Macron is maniacally imposing on his citizens, allies and the whole world a completely false concept of what is happening — "the Russians are coming!", he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Kosachev also stressed that Macron's actions are increasingly distancing him from the legacy of General Charles de Gaulle. In addition, he added that the president is trying to explain his problems by external factors, the main of which is Russia.
On the same day, the French leader announced that he intended to discuss the use of nuclear weapons in order to protect the entire European Union (EU). Macron also called on the EU to provide itself with the largest amount of military equipment and build up defense capabilities "for the sake of peace itself." In addition, he said that next week in Paris will be a meeting of the chiefs of the General Staffs of the Armed Forces (AF) of several countries, which will be devoted to discussions on Ukraine.
