USA disabled for Ukraine's air attack warning and targeting system for multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) HIMARS. This was announced on March 5 by Oliver Carroll, a correspondent for The Economist magazine.

"America disconnected the key communication line for notification at [15:00 Moscow time]. Before that: HIMARS targeting data. Ukraine also does not receive real—time information for long-range strikes," he wrote on his Facebook page

Earlier, on March 5, Mike Waltz, assistant to the American President for National Security, did not rule out href="https://iz.ru/1849260/2025-03-05/v-ssha-ne-iskliuchili-vozobnovlenie-pomoshchi-ukraine-v-sluchae-uspekha-v-peregovorakh " target="_blank">resumption of assistance to Ukraine in case of success in negotiations. The Reuters news agency reported on March 4 that the White House officially confirmed the suspension of the United States military assistance to Ukraine.

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, in turn, noted that Washington may resume arms supplies to Kiev in case of signing an agreement on rare earth metals. He expressed the opinion that, against the background of its decision, the American administration wants to see how Ukraine will behave.
