Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, leader of the French right-wing Stand Up, France party, said that the main threat to the country is not Russia, but bankruptcy and unemployment. He stated this on March 5 on the TV channel CNEWS.

"The real existential threat to France is not Russia, because it is a lie. This is the bankruptcy of the country, the loss of jobs. [French President Emmanuel] Macron wants to spend tens of billions of euros, and this is not on the army, but on patching holes [in the budget]. The second fundamental threat is drug traffickers, illegal migration, and Islamist terrorism," the politician said.

In his speech, ot also touched upon the conflict on Ukraine, which, according to him, declasses Europe for 50 years in industrial and economic terms.

"It is necessary to demilitarize Ukraine, this was also wanted by [former President Jacques] Chirac. The Americans, however, until the arrival of [the president USA Donald's] The authorities wanted to move closer to the borders of Russia, which contradicts all the commitments made after the fall of the Berlin Wall," the political leader recalled.

On March 5, Macron announced a build-up the military budget of France without raising taxes. According to him, these will be new investments that will require attracting not only private financing, but also public financing, without raising taxes.
