Zakharova called Macron's address to the nation "truly springtime"

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called French President Emmanuel Macron's March 5 address to fellow citizens "truly springtime."
"Now it turns out that Emanuel has the "most powerful" army in Europe. And [President of Ukraine Vladimir] Zelensky says he has. It is very important that these two find common ground in measuring," the diplomat wrote on her Telegram channel.
Zakharova also pointed out the inconsistency between the intentions of the new French ambassador, who recently shared his thoughts on the desire to develop relations with Russia, and Macron.
"Macron admitted that peace in Europe is not a priority for France, that they are going to "calm down" Russia, and the rest of the same series. So why is the French ambassador coming to us, I would like to clarify once again?" the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized.
Earlier in the day, the French leader said he intended to discuss the use of nuclear weapons in order to protect the entire European Union (EU). Macron also called on the EU to provide itself with the largest amount of military equipment and build up defense capabilities "for the sake of peace itself." In addition, he said that next week in Paris will be a meeting of the chiefs of the General Staffs of the Armed Forces (AF) of several countries, which will be devoted to discussions on Ukraine.
