The first snowdrops were filmed in the Leningrad region

The first spring snowdrops bloomed in the Leningrad region. The appearance of flowers was announced by the head of the region, Alexander Drozdenko, in his social networks on Wednesday, March 5.

"Oil shales are reporting early spring," the governor wrote, quoting 78 TV channel.

Snowdrops appear in early spring and live very short — no more than a month. They bloom from February to April.

Earlier in the first snowdrops blossomed in the open air at the Aptekarsky Ogorod in Moscow. The flowers bloomed at the end of January.
