A comprehensive program to reduce road deaths will be developed in the Trans-Baikal Territory. This is reported by the press service of the regional government.

"It is necessary to promptly develop an effective comprehensive program to reduce deaths on the roads, with the participation of all relevant departments and services," First Deputy Chairman of the regional government Andrey Kefer instructed.

The politician noted that a large number of fatal traffic accidents are registered in the region. According to the Ministry of Health, eight people have died in accidents in the past week alone.

As specified by IA ChitaMedia, relevant departments and services will participate in the development of the program.

February 22 a fatal accident occurred on the Chita–Zabaikalsk highway in the Karymsky district. The Nissan Wingroad car crashed into a bump and overturned. The 19-year-old driver and three passengers were killed: a 25-year-old young man and two girls born in 2007 and 2008.
