- Putin instructed to prepare measures to solve the problem of providing the Interior Ministry with personnel

The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin instructed the government to prepare measures to improve staffing in the departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). He stated this on March 5 during a speech at the expanded board of the department.
"I will focus on one more extremely important issue, which is personnel. I know that there is a growing shortage of personnel in the Interior Ministry system, especially in the primary sector. The minister constantly raises these issues, and the problems are, of course, complex and systemic, requiring solutions in all areas," the head of state said.
In particular, he pointed out that personnel problems can be solved by strengthening social guarantees and increasing salaries of competitive employees. Putin also mentioned housing and other social issues and instructed the government, together with the Interior Ministry, to prepare specific proposals on all these points.
The President also thanked the Interior Ministry staff for their responsible approach to the performance of their official duties. In particular, he noted those who serve in the border and new regions.
"In difficult conditions, you worked with dignity and professionalism, did everything to help people protect law and order, ensure the rhythmic daily work of territorial units, and they have a heavy workload," the Russian leader stressed.
In addition, during the meeting, the head of state reported a decrease in street crime in the Russian Federation and drew attention to an increase in the detection rate of murders, robberies and apartment thefts. At the same time, according to him, there is a decrease in the number of recidivism in the country.
