More than 80% of Russians surveyed consider flowers to be a mandatory attribute on March 8. This follows from the data of analysts of the X5 Group's Package service, which was reviewed by Izvestia on March 7.
As indicated, 95% of the men surveyed plan to congratulate women on the holiday, while 32% of them noted that they would congratulate all the girls they would contact on that day. At the same time, the study showed that 60% and 34% of Russians think about gifts and sweets. Only 7% of respondents consider balloons to be an important element of the celebration, while 27% focus on surrounding women with care.
According to the survey results, 64% of Russians plan to spend the holiday at home and cook dinner. Only 17% preferred going to a restaurant, while 9% said they would order delivery. About 63% of the respondents are ready to spend from 1 thousand to 5 thousand rubles, and 30% of them admitted that they can spend more than 5 thousand rubles. Only 7% plan to limit themselves to 1 thousand rubles.
At the same time, 22% are going to look for discounts and promotions in supermarkets, the other 22% will use loyalty programs and cashback services. Also, 37% of men do not plan to resort to additional methods of saving at all.
On March 5, Izvestia got acquainted with the results of a study by the dating service Mamba, according to which more than a quarter of the surveyed Russians would like to receive a gift in the amount of 50 thousand rubles or more on International Women's Day. Almost half of the male respondents, in turn, plan to spend from 1 thousand to 3 thousand rubles on it.
