A court in Moscow fined Snapchat 10 million rubles.

Tagansky District Court Moscow has fined the Snapchat messenger (Snap Inc.) 10 million rubles, having found guilty of an administrative offense. This was announced on March 5 by the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital in the Telegram channel.

"Snap Inc. was found guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 9 of Article 13.11 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of personal data")," the publication says.

In 2023 Snapchat was also fined 9 million rubles for repeated failure by the operator to collect personal data, including including via the Internet, the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation.
