"Red Silk" will be the first Russian film in the HFR 60 FPS format.

The Cinema Park and Formula Cinema cinema chain and NMG Kinoprokat (part of the National Media Group) have been launching exclusive screenings of the Russian-Chinese detective film Red Silk in the unique HFR 60 frames per second format since March 6.
The new format will allow viewers to feel like participants in the actions unfolding on the screen. For comparison, regular screenings assume a frequency of 24 frames per second. The advantages of HFR include increased image clarity, improved frame detail, and additional smoothness, making the picture more realistic than before.
The director of the film, Andrei Volgin, noted that with such a screening, the cinema plays with new colors and thanked his colleagues for their creativity.
"We are glad to be pioneers not only in shooting technologies, but also in the formats of the show. A new way of watching a movie awaits the viewer, which will play with completely different colors. This is a unique experience that we can realize thanks to the Combined network of cinemas Formula Cinema and Cinema Park. Many thanks to my colleagues for their love of Russian cinema and incredible creativity," he stressed.
In turn, Alexey Vasyasin, General Director of the Cinema Park and Formula Cinema cinema network, expressed confidence that the audience would positively perceive the embodiment of this idea.
"We see guests' requests to watch movies in cinemas in the best possible way: with high-quality sound and pictures. This potential is being developed due to modern film technologies, as well as artificial intelligence. We've been waiting for this from film producers for a long time, while simultaneously trying to develop it ourselves. And, as a first step in this direction, the ability to watch content in quality with the highest frame rate per second available on the market today. We are convinced that the guests will positively perceive our attempts at quality, having appreciated the first project with the NMG Film Distribution company. Starting from March 6, we offer you to come to cinemas and watch the HFR 60 frames per second quality of the film "Red Silk". We do not stop in the implementation of ideas and are ready to continue to maintain the bar of a technological film leader," he said.
The film will be released from February 20, 2025. It promises viewers a large-scale spectacle, adventures, a tense detective story with unexpected twists and exciting action scenes.
On February 24, it became known that the box office receipts of the film "Red Silk" for the first days of distribution exceeded 100 million rubles. The film tells a spy story about love for the Motherland and protection of the interests of the country, based on real events.
Actors Milos Bikovic, Gosha Kutsenko, Elena Podkaminskaya, Irina Alferova, Gleb Kalyuzhny, as well as Chinese actress Zheng Hanyi took part in the film.
