The Russian government has announced a new teacher remuneration system in 2026.

In Russia, a new teacher remuneration system will be approved in 2026, and in 2027 it will be introduced in all educational organizations. This was announced on March 5 by Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

"In 2026, taking into account the results of pilot projects, a new remuneration system will be approved, and from 2027 it will be implemented in all educational institutions," he said during government hour in the State Duma.

It is noted that by the end of 2023, the remuneration rate for teachers amounted to 12% by 2022.
