The victim of the gas explosion in Belorechensk reported the details of the incident

Pensioner Svetlana Galaktionova, who suffered as a result of the explosion of a gas cylinder in an apartment building in Belorechensk, Krasnodar Territory, reported that she could not get out from under the rubble on her own. She told Izvestia on March 5 about how her neighbors saved her.

"I heard a bang,"..."I opened my eyes, and I saw a wall falling. I was confused, and when I came to my senses, the wall completely overwhelmed me. "...I couldn't even do anything," the 85-year-old explained.

She clarified that the apartment was locked, but the neighbor Olga, who came to her rescue, kicked down the door. Together with another neighbor, she cleared the rubble and dragged the pensioner outside.

"She was lying between the wall and the bed, I think the bed saved her. "...The explosion was strong, it shook us all," Olga said.

The incident occurred on March 5 in a five-story building on Krasnaya Street. According to the Izvestia source, the building collapsed between the fourth and fifth floors due to the explosion. Two apartments were completely destroyed, and six more were damaged. Three people were injured. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there was a preliminary explosion of a gas-air mixture in the house.

The administration of Belorechensk has introduced a state of emergency (emergency). The regional Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident. A criminal case has been opened on the provision of services that do not meet security requirements.
