Gas explosion in Belorechensk — what happened
The incident occurred on the morning of March 5 in a five-story building on Krasnaya Street. According to the Izvestia source, due to an explosion in the building ceilings collapsed between the fourth and fifth floors. Two apartments were completely destroyed, and six more were damaged. There was no fire after the explosion.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, previously there was a pop of a gas-air mixture in the house. Rescuers evacuated 54 people, including 12 children, and temporary accommodation facilities were set up for them. 67 specialists and 33 pieces of equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were sent to eliminate the consequences of the accident.
In connection with the explosion in a multi-storey building, the administration of Belorechensk introduced emergency mode (emergency). The regional Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident.
The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory (SU TFR) opened a criminal case on the provision of services that do not meet security requirements. Now law enforcement officers are conducting an inspection of the scene.

The head of the region, Veniamin Kondratiev, said in his Telegram channel that, if necessary, a patient with burns would be taken to the Krasnodar regional hospital.
"Another resident had a bruise, and the third victim received outpatient treatment," the governor said.

According to Sergei Sidorenko on his Telegram channel, 27 people, including five children, are currently in temporary accommodation at the Belorechensk hotel. The head of the municipal district held a conversation with the residents of the affected house and explained to them the mechanism of housing restoration.
"I assure everyone that we will provide maximum support to the victims, no one will be left without help and attention," he wrote.
Sidorenko also spoke about the amount of compensation for victims of the explosion. All residents of the house will receive 15,000 rubles each. 75 thousand rubles will be paid to citizens for partial loss of property, and 150 thousand rubles for full loss.
