By 2030, 496,000 medical workers with specialized secondary and higher education should be attracted to the labor market. This was announced on March 5 by Andrei Pudov, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Russia.

"In the future, by 2030, it is necessary to additionally attract 496,000 medical workers with secondary specialized and higher education to the industry," Pudov said during a government hour in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, his words are transmitted TASS.

The Deputy Minister explained that, given the age characteristics of the employed, about 100 thousand doctors will have to be recruited annually.

Earlier, on February 6, it was reported that the State Duma proposed raise salaries for ambulance workers. Sergei Mironov, the leader of the Fair Russia - For Truth faction, sent such a letter to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. In the document, he pointed out that there remains a serious shortage of medical personnel in Russia, and the situation continues to worsen.
