The French MP pointed out Macron's negative attitude towards the country's citizens.

French President Emmanuel Macron holds his citizens "for fools." This was announced on March 5 by Deputy of the National Assembly of the country and vice-chairman of the National Unification Party, Sebastien Chenu.
"Emmanuel Macron is making fools of the French! He's going to play the covid sketch for us again, that is, dramatize it to such an extent that we forget about everything else," he said in a conversation with Sud Radio. The excerpt is published on the page of the radio station in the social network X (ex. Twitter).
According to him, the French president will divert attention to outside events in order not to talk about migration, security issues, debt, or the economic situation in the country.
On the same day, Macron announced his appeal to residents of France on March 5th. However, he did not specify the details of the conversation. The appeal will begin at 20:00 (22:00 Moscow time).
Prior to that, on January 12, Bloomberg, citing the results of an Ipsos poll, reported that Macron's approval rating dropped to a six-year low and reached 21%. In the six months since June 2024, this indicator has decreased by 12%.
