The share of farm products in Russia has increased 10-fold in 30 years

In Russia, the share of farm products has increased 10-fold in 30 years. This was announced on March 5 at the congress of the Association of Peasant Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia by the Chairman of the Board of Rosselkhoznadzor Boris Listov.

"Over the past 30 years, the share of small agribusiness in the total volume of agricultural production has increased 10-fold and now stands at about 15%. In the field of crop production, one third of grain is harvested by small—scale farming," he said.

According to him, farmers have absolute records in poultry production, which has grown 20 times over this period — from 4 thousand tons to 82 thousand tons. The production of eggs and milk has increased more than fivefold.

In total, by the end of 2024, the volume of farm products reached 1 trillion 265 billion rubles.

In addition, Listov noted a 20% increase in the bank's financing of small agribusiness last year, to 153 billion rubles.

To do this, you need to increase value-added sales and support the business

Earlier, on February 21, the Ministry of Agriculture reported that since the beginning of the year, the production of greenhouse tomatoes in Russia increased by 2%. In the organized sector, the harvest amounted to 59.7 thousand tons. Among the regions that significantly increased the production of protected soil vegetables were Stavropol, Perm and Krasnodar Territories, Voronezh, Kaluga and Leningrad regions.
