Sobyanin reported on the quality of drinking water in Moscow

"There are more than 500 automatic monitoring sensors on the water path from the source to the taps. They monitor turbidity, color, chemical composition, and temperature. If something goes wrong, the specialists immediately adjust the technological cleaning modes. In addition, water samples are taken from the city's distribution network. Last year, specialists conducted over 3.2 million tests, which is 7% more than in 2023," the mayor of the capital informed.
According to statistics, about 3 million cubic meters of clean drinking water are consumed annually in Moscow, and experts monitor its quality around the clock. There are currently four water treatment plants in Moscow — Severnaya, Vostochnaya, Zapadnaya and Rublevskaya. All stations use modern purification methods, including ozonation with activated carbon sorption and membrane filtration. Each station has a water quality control laboratory. Anyone can get acquainted with the research results on the Mosvodokanal website in the section "Water quality in Moscow districts".
