Padiev, accused of the murder of General Kirillov, was left in jail

The Moscow City Court rejected a complaint against the extension of the arrest of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov Ramazan Padiev, accused of murdering the head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Forces (RCBZ) (listed as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation). This was reported on March 5 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
Padiev's lawyer filed a request for the lifting of the preventive measure, citing his client's non-involvement in the crime, but this request was rejected. The defendant did not admit his guilt.
According to the latest information, Padiev will remain in custody until May 17 this year.
