In Moscow, a court fined Twitch 13 million rubles.

Tagansky District Court Moscow fined Twitch service for 13 million rubles. This was reported on March 5 in the Telegram channel of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.

"The Metropolitan Court recognized Twitch Interactive Inc.(Twitch Interactive, Inc.) guilty of an administrative offense," the statement said.

It is clarified that the service was found guilty of committing an offense under Part 9 of Article 13.11 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of personal data").

Earlier, in November last year, Roskomnadzor reported that the fines imposed on the Twitch streaming service for non-compliance with the law on self-monitoring of social networks, amount to 20.7 million rubles, and they have not been paid.

Prior to that, on October 21, 2024, the press service of Roskomnadzor stated that do not plan to block Twitch. Access to the streaming service in Russia is currently not limited.

However, the streaming service has been fined more than once. So, on August 5, Twitch was fined 5 million rubles for non-compliance with the requirements of the RCN.
