Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center, in his Telegram channel gives a slightly different forecast. According to him, it will be warm in April in Moscow over the weekend, and the air may warm up to +14 degrees.

"There is a possibility of setting a heat record for March 8 (record +8.6 — 2020). Heat records are also possible on March 9," he noted.

Both experts note that by Saturday the snow cover in the capital will be completely gone.

Previously on in an interview with Izvestia, Anatoly Tsygankov, head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Service's crisis Management department, said that the weather would be similar on March 7-9. The thermometer can rise to +9 degrees. However, he did not rule out precipitation on the 7th.

Forecast for the weekend in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region

However, Yandex.Weather gives a different forecast. Today, on March 5, it is -1 degrees and snow in St. Petersburg. These conditions will remain in place until Friday inclusive. It is expected to be 0 degrees and cloudy on Saturday, and partly cloudy on Sunday.

What will the weather be like this weekend in Primorye

Primhydromet in its Telegram channel promises unstable weather conditions for the holiday weekend. According to them, a cyclone will arrive from China on Saturday night, clouds will cover a large area of the region. Snow is possible in the south during the day.
