Reshetnikov spoke about extensive plans to develop tourism with Myanmar.

Russia and Myanmar are actively developing tourism between the two countries and have big joint plans in this direction. This was announced on March 5 by the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, speaking at the Russian-Myanmar Business Forum.
"We are jointly developing tourism and direct passenger transportation between Mandalay and Novosibirsk, thanks to which package tours to Myanmar operate," the minister said in his speech.
He also noted the tremendous work that Russian banks have done to launch Mir cards in Myanmar. Now Russians, coming on vacation, can pay her in hotels and shops.
"Myanmar guides study in Russia, and travel companies participate in our exhibitions, promoting Myanmar. The plans in the near future are to finalize the visa—free regime for Myanmar citizens. Such an agreement is now at a high stage of readiness through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," Reshetnikov said.
Earlier, on March 4, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin during talks with Myanmar Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing said that relations between the two countries are developing progressively. He noted that he was pleased with this indicator, and the partnership between Russia and Myanmar had good potential. Based on the results of the party have adopted a joint statement, which confirms the key principles of the Russian-Myanmar partnership. Speaking about cooperation in the field of trade and investment, the Russian leader stressed that both countries plan to continue to deepen this joint work.
