French President Emmanuel Macron, together with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, expressed their willingness to travel to Washington with the leader Of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky next week to provide a plan for resolving the conflict in the country. This was reported on March 4 by The Daily Mail with reference to sources.

"Diplomatic sources have reported that Sir Cyrus and Emmanuel Macron are ready to travel to Washington with President Zelensky next week to present a united front on this plan (to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. — Ed.)," the article says.

According to the newspaper, London is developing measures "at all levels" to convince Washington to resume military assistance to Kiev.

In addition, the leaders are working on a peace agreement that can begin with a "truce in the sky," including a cessation of air strikes, and if successful, proceed to a cessation of hostilities by ground forces.

Earlier, on March 2, Starmer announced plans for the UK and France to work working on their own plan for a peaceful settlement of the conflict. According to the British Prime Minister, the negotiations will include a discussion of where the border of Ukraine will run.

Bloomberg reported on March 3 that Britain and France are going to present the US president Donald Trump the Europe-Plus coalition with the possible participation of Canada in order to convince him to continue supporting Ukraine. According to the newspaper, the plan is based on the assumption that not all representatives of the US administration are ready for a possible break in contacts between Washington and Kiev after Trump's public altercation with Zelensky in the Oval Office.
