As a preliminary inspection showed, the collapse of an apartment building in Belorechensk, Krasnodar Territory, which injured three people, could have been caused by an exploding gas equipment, the operational services of the region reported on March 5.

This was also stated by the governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratiev, adding that the exact cause of the explosion would later be called by the operational services currently investigating the case.

"Last night, a gas cylinder detonated in a house on Krasnaya Street in Belorechensk, as a result, the floor slab between the fourth and fifth floors collapsed. The operational services are currently investigating the causes of the explosion," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Kondratiev noted that the doctors of the district hospital are providing assistance to the victims. One of them has serious burns, and if necessary, the patient will be taken to a regional hospital in Krasnodar. Another resident had a bruise, and the third victim received outpatient treatment.
