On International Women's Day, parking on the streets of Moscow will be free, including in places with fares of 380, 450 and 600 rubles per hour and in dynamic fare zones. About this in his official Telegram channel said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
According to him, parking lots with a barrier will continue to operate as usual on March 8.
In addition, the Moscow Department of Transport warned drivers about possible heavy traffic on March 7 at the Riga market, one of the main places of flower trade in the capital. The ministry noted that on the eve of the holiday, the number of cars in the city could grow by 2% and reach 2.85 million.
Motorists were asked to plan trips, use alternative routes, and order gifts and flowers in advance through delivery services.
