China has said it will develop a package of major projects to combat climate change as the country approaches peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality. This was reported on March 5 by the agency Reuters.

An official report released on Wednesday announced plans to develop new offshore wind farms and accelerate the construction of "new energy bases."

"China will actively and prudently work to achieve peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality," the report says.

China has also announced plans to test low-carbon technology at its coal-fired power plants.

President of the Republic Xi Jinping, in his speech at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in San Francisco on November 17, 2023, mentioned the need to follow href="https://iz.ru/1607222/2023-11-18/si-tczinpin-nazval-tceliu-knr-dat-liudiam-vozmozhnost-khorosho-zhit " target="_blank">ways of "green development", that is, to promote the harmonious coexistence of man and nature in order not to destroy the environment during the already difficult climatic situation.
