Lukashenko declared unwillingness to mediate in Ukraine and "get into a showdown"

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that he does not want to be a mediator in Ukraine and "get into a showdown," but Minsk is ready to help if its help is needed.
In an interview with the American blogger Mario Naufalu, he said that he supports the efforts of the US president to resolve conflicts, including on Ukraine.
"Here I am ready to stand by and do everything that is necessary to end the conflict and improve people's lives," the Belarusian said in an interview with blogger Mario Naufalu, which was published on the social network X.
The President of Belarus noted that if necessary, he would be "very happy" to help, organize, and push the conflict resolution process, but "only to make people feel better."
On February 27, Lukashenko spoke about the discussion with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin's fossil fuel deals between the United States and Ukraine. According to the President of Belarus, Russia may be alarmed by the agreement between the United States and Ukraine if the Russian Federation considers that the agreements will overstep the boundaries of economic relations.
