Germany is looking for ways to prevent the launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. This was reported on March 4 by Bild.

According to the newspaper, the German government considers a realistic scenario for the launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline as a result of agreements between Russia and USA.

"An intensive investigation is currently underway to determine what levers Germany has at its disposal to prevent the resumption of the Nord Stream 2 project," the article says.

Earlier, on March 3, the newspaper Bild узнала about the negotiations of the special envoy of the President of the United States Donald Trump on Nord Streams. It is reported that the US government itself will not participate in the gas pipeline deal, but some American entrepreneurs will take part in it. It is specified that one of the sponsors of the Trump election campaign, businessman Stephen Lynch, will be among them.
