Senior Sergeant Maria Sushkova, a senior operating nurse, has been rescuing soldiers for more than a day, along with orderlies, assistants and a surgeon. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Wednesday, March 5, reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of a special military operation (SVO).

For example, for nine hours Sushkova assisted a surgeon who performed surgery on a seriously wounded soldier, as a result of which the soldier's life was saved and his condition was stabilized.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the timely and professional actions of Junior Sergeant Lilia Bakareva, who performed the tasks of organizing stable and uninterrupted communications in the interests of the Russian Armed Forces unit.

During an attack by the Armed Forces Ukraine (APU) equipment caught fire due to ammunition drops in the area of the control room. Junior Sergeant Bakareva, having made sure that the radio station was working properly and continued to work, immediately reported to the command about the fire of the equipment and began extinguishing it.

After the fire brigade arrived, the equipment was extinguished and rescued.

The day before, the Russian military department reported that Corporal Novikov during the assault href="https://iz.ru/1848339/2025-03-04/efreitor-novikov-v-hode-sturma-unictozil-dolgovremennuu-ognevuu-tocku-vsu " target="_blank"> destroyed a long-term AFU firing point. After the end of combat missions, Novikov treated the wounded and helped them get to the evacuation point.
