The troops of the 2nd Belorussian Front, developing a successful offensive in the Danzig direction, captured important railway and highway junctions on March 10 — the cities of Lauenburg and Karthusa (Karthaus), Izvestia reports.

"[Soviet troops] also occupied more than 300 other settlements, including the large settlements of Baldau, Dalvin, Scheneck, Gross Holmkau, Grenzdorf, Nobisau, Mikhutsin, Sirakowitz, Wutzkow, Zewitz, Neuendorf, Landehof, Witzig, Tsetsenov, Gisebitz, and Schmolzin," the publication says. dated March 11, 1945.

During March 10, south-east of Danzig, Soviet troops, as a result of offensive battles, occupied the city of Tigenhov and the settlements of Jungfer, Neustadterwald, Ladekopp, Tighe, Marienau, Nidau, Halbstadt, Milenz and Gross Montau.

In the area of the city of Tchev, as Izvestia wrote, German troops concentrated large infantry forces and launched counterattacks.
