In St. Petersburg, a girl abandoned her one-year-old daughter in an entrance hall


A criminal case has been opened against a mother who left her one-year-old daughter in the entrance of a house in St. Petersburg. This was reported on March 4 in the Telegram channel of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in St. Petersburg.
A stroller with a child was found in the stairwell, none of the parents were nearby. A police squad was sent to the scene. Law enforcement agencies called an ambulance and handed the baby over to the doctors. The child is currently in a children's hospital.
After the verification measures, the police found the mother in one of the catering establishments. According to the woman, she no longer wants to raise a child, so she asked her friends to roll the stroller to residential buildings.
"The girl had previously been held accountable for failing to fulfill her daughter's maintenance duties," the police said.
Law enforcement agencies detained the girl.
"The Department of Inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Vasileostrovsky district has opened a criminal case under Article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abandonment in danger)," the report says.
