When choosing an apartment, women primarily pay attention to the practicality and comfort of the proposed solutions. For example, they are more likely to look for apartments with large kitchens-living rooms (41% versus 35%), dressing rooms (23% versus 19%) and balconies (41% versus 32% among the male audience), according to a study by the Aeroplane group, which was reviewed by Izvestia on March 7.

For men, the more important criteria were ceiling height (21% versus 18% among the female audience), the presence of a well-maintained territory (40% versus 36%) and the smart home system (7% versus 5%). At the same time, some options are in equal demand among buyers of both sexes — these are furnished kitchens (25%) and turtleneck apartments (12%).

Speaking about common areas, experts clarified that customers are guided by the availability of additional amenities — mirrors (20% vs. 17%), upholstered furniture areas (16% vs. 14%) and a free Wi-Fi network (32% vs. 27%). Men, on the contrary, want to see more plants in public areas, and video surveillance and special places for storing strollers and bicycles scored the same number of votes — 75 and 56%, respectively.

Preferences in the elements of yard improvement vary more. The female audience more often wants to see comfortable footpaths in the yard (53% vs. 50%), covered gazebos (23% vs. 19%) and dog walking areas (21% vs. 13%). Men, on the contrary, prefer sports infrastructure, such as exercise equipment (39% vs. 34%) and universal playgrounds (35% vs. 26%). At the same time, approximately the same number of respondents of both sexes voted for additional decorative lighting and gardens (31% and 34%, respectively).

Earlier, on February 5, it was reported that almost half of the Russians surveyed linked their plans in 2025 with the solution of the housing issue. One in eight (12%) plans to start saving and saving money to buy a home, 10% of respondents want to sell an apartment. This is stated in the results of the research conducted by the Level Group.
