How long does it take for a woman and a man to feel the first signs of falling in love? Is there love at first sight and are such unions lasting? Why are we attracted to one type, and we build a family with someone who may be far from the ideal of beauty? What influences the choice of a partner? Can aphrodisiacs improve a couple's relationship? What is the use of jealousy? Are marriages based on the principle of "opposites attract" lasting? Why can a man experience postpartum depression, just like the mother of his child? Which sex is better — spontaneous or planned? Which areas of the brain turn off during love? On which date is it better to start intimacy? Science provides answers to all these questions.
At the screening, the film was presented to the audience by Yulia Zasko, head of NMG DOK, director Dmitry Sapun and one of the experts Vyacheslav Dubynin, a neurophysiologist, Doctor of Biological Sciences, professor at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
The discussion was attended by TV producer and screenwriter Natalia Bilan, journalist and writer Yulia Shamal, editor-in-chief of the new media Documentary Cinema DOC.ru Ilona Egiazarova, and the moderators of the conversation were Mikhail Borzenkov, the presenter of REN TV, and Maria Morgun, a journalist and head of the MOSK club of Moskvichka magazine.
"Our main task is to show that documentaries can be interesting to the widest audience. The starting point for the creation of the project "Where does love live?" The results of scientific research have served: scientists have officially announced that humanity is facing an epidemic of loneliness. And this epidemic affects people of all ages — not only those who grew up playing computer games and virtual reality, but also the older generation. People began to avoid love and the nervous tremors associated with it. We wanted to figure it out with the help of scientists.: What is this terrible disease of love that everyone is so afraid of? We are sure that our film will help viewers look at love in a different way, and after watching it, people will want to "get sick of it," said Yulia Zasko, head of NMG DOK.
"We approached the concept lying in the emotional field rationally. And we made a lot of discoveries for ourselves. Interest in popular science documentaries is now gaining momentum. The huge number of popular science podcasts with millions of views speaks volumes. And interest in this topic is growing, among other things, thanks to modern scientists who are destroying the clichés of perceiving people of science as some kind of high-minded intellectuals communicating with each other in a bird language that only they understand. We set ourselves the task of attracting not just specialists to the creation of the film, but stars from science. We had to wait several months for some of the speakers because we wanted to see them. The experts of our film speak to the audience in a language they understand," admitted the film's director Dmitry Sapun
"Documentary films are one of the strongest ways to conduct a dialogue with the audience. In a documentary, a person sees himself and his life, hears the opinions of reputable scientists who, from the height of their experience and knowledge, talk about the things that fill his life," TV producer and screenwriter Natalia Bilan is convinced
"We live for emotions and for the sake of feeling happiness sometimes. It's not a constant state, but something like surfing, and when you're on a wave, love gives you powerful positive emotions. And now it's a global feeling that warms you every hour. And you're doing creative work together, having children, defending your territory back to back. Each of us strives to find our soulmate," says neuroscientist Vyacheslav Dubynin
The film "Where does Love live?" It was created within the framework of the NMG DOC line "Scientific about non-scientific". In other projects in this series, the viewer is waiting for answers to questions about where the soul lives, what fate is and whether it exists, how dreams are born, what games our mind plays with us, and much more.
New industrial media "DOCUMENTARY CINEMA" DOC.ru , which began work on March 3, was presented by its editor-in-chief Ilona Egiazarova. The project, which accumulates on its site all the most significant events in documentary films, was implemented with the participation of NMG DOC

In addition, we will conduct a dialogue with caring viewers – our content, including an exclusive video, will appear on social networks — on our sites in VK, Telegram, Rutube, OK and Yandex.Zen," Egiazarova said.
