The Reuters news agency stopped broadcasting live from Independence Square in the center of Kiev after the city administration complained about the streaming to the Security Service Ukraine (SBU). This was announced on March 4 by the head of the Kiev city military administration Timur Tkachenko.

"Today, the Reuters edition started broadcasting from the center of Kiev again. There was no request for broadcast permission. We contacted the SBU. The broadcast was promptly stopped," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The agency was streaming from the center of the Ukrainian capital for just over an hour. In the accompanying caption, Reuters explained that it began broadcasting a view of Independence Square after a White House official announced the suspension of military aid to Ukraine.

Earlier on March 4, Reuters reported that USA military aid supplies have been suspended Ukraine at 04:30 Moscow time.

CNN reported on March 3 that due to the suspension of U.S. aid, Ukraine will face with disastrous consequences. It was noted that this measure will apply to all equipment that has not yet been received by Kiev. One of the American officials stressed that Europe would not be able to fill the shortage of weapons. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in turn, called the possible termination of US military assistance to Ukraine href="https://iz.ru/1848514/2025-03-04/peskov-nazval-vozmozhnuiu-ostanovku-pomoshchi-ssha-ukraine-nailuchshim-vkladom-v-delo-mira " target="_blank">the best contribution to the cause of peace.
