Forecaster predicted abnormal heat over the weekend in Moscow

On the weekend of March 8th and 9th, the air temperature in Moscow will be 5 degrees above the climatic norm. Anatoly Tsygankov, head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Service's Crisis Management department, told Izvestia about this on March 4.
"There were several cold snaps in February. March begins with warmth. And our temperature is already above normal. On the 6th— it was 8 degrees, on the 7th, it was 8 degrees above normal, and on March 8, it was about 5 degrees above normal. That is, March will be quite warm," he said.
The forecaster also noted that by the weekend, the snow that has fallen in the last few days will melt.
Tsygankov predicted light rain with temperatures from 0 to +5 degrees on the night of March 7. The day will be without precipitation, the air will warm up to +9 degrees.
"On March 8, the weather is about the same — partly cloudy, with the advantage of no precipitation. The temperature from the 7th to the 8th is also from 0 to +5 at night, +4... +9 during the day," the forecaster said.
He noted that on March 9, the temperature values will be similar to the previous day. In addition, Muscovites should expect more sun on Sunday and Monday, concluded Tsygankov.
On March 3, Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia that temperatures are expected in most of the European territory of the Russian Federation and in Western Siberia in March above the climatic norm by 1-2 degrees.
