In the Lipetsk region, a ban on pike fishing will be in effect in all inland reservoirs from March 20 to April 25. From April 15 to June 8, walleye fishing will be banned in the region.

As reported by GOROD48 with reference to the Verkhnedonsky department of State Control, Supervision and Protection of Aquatic Biological Resources, in case of violation of the prohibitions, fishermen will be fined from 2 thousand to 5 thousand rubles, and their vessels and mining implements will be confiscated.

In addition, the amount of penalties for damage to aquatic biological resources will additionally increase. During the period when the ban is in effect, it is charged in double the amount.

Earlier, on March 3, it was reported that two men will stand trial in Sevastopol for illegally catching 16 thousand mussels. The attackers face a fine of more than 350 thousand rubles. According to investigators, the 42 and 52-year-old men extracted mussels in October 2024 in the waters of the Southern Bay, on the territory of berth No. 103. At that time, the marine life had a spawning period.
