New production of components for Lada will appear in Tolyatti

The NPK Avtopribor Iskra company will open production of automobile generators for Lada Vesta, Granta and Largus in Tolyatti. A preferential loan in the amount of 567.5 million rubles will be provided to the company to create an import-substituting production facility, the Industrial Development Fund (EDF) said in a statement received by Izvestia on March 4.

With the loan funds, the company will purchase and launch assembly lines for the production of rotors, stators, final assembly lines for generators, as well as equipment for product testing and quality control. In the future, the company intends to supply products to other assembly lines in Russia. The total investment in the project will exceed 760 million rubles.

After reaching full capacity, NPK Avtopribor Iskra intends to supply AvtoVAZ with up to 480 thousand generators per year. The new production facilities will allow for the production of 500,000 products annually. The new product has already been tested, including at the AVTOVAZ site. The generator is promised a warranty period of 100 thousand kilometers with a total service life of 360 thousand km.

Ilya Ryabinin, executive director of NPC Avtopribor Iskra, said that the loan from the FRP will create "the most modern generator production in Russia in terms of process automation." For the first time, improved performance diodes, a brush assembly with high wear resistance, and a pulley with an overrunning clutch will be used in the generator for local production. Such technological solutions make it possible to compete with the most modern imported products, he stressed.

On February 26, it was reported that production of import-substituting parts For Lada Vesta cars, production will be set up by the Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) military industrial holding. KMZ will begin production of the cushions of the left engine suspension support, as well as the rods of the rear engine suspension. Previously, they were supplied by a Hungarian manufacturer of pneumatic springs, as well as a German company.
