The State Duma recalled the categories of Russians eligible for early retirement

Many categories of Russian citizens are eligible for early retirement. This was stated on March 4 by Sergey Gavrilov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Property, Land and Property Relations, in an interview with TASS.

He clarified that the reduced length of service for calculating an insurance pension is provided for employees of particularly heavy and harmful industries, residents of the Far North and equivalent regions, as well as for the military, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Penitentiary Service and the Russian Guard. In addition, firefighters, civilian and military pilots, cosmonauts, and education and medical workers can expect early retirement.

In addition, according to the deputy, mothers of at least three children and certain groups of people with disabilities have the right to do so.

"One of the common reasons for refusal is the insufficient individual pension coefficient, which in 2025 should be at least 30. After the appointment of an early pension, a citizen has the right to continue working, and pension payments continue regardless of further employment," Gavrilov said.

Earlier, on March 3, Nikita Chaplin, a member of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes, said that the indexation of the social pension scheduled for April 1 will affect veterans of the Great Patriotic War, residents of besieged Leningrad and besieged cities, as well as those affected by radiation and man-made disasters of Russians. According to him, this decision will affect about 3.5 million recipients of payments.
