Hongqi unveils premium minivan HQ9 in Russia

The Hongqi HQ9 minivan will be offered in Russia with a two-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 245 hp (380 Nm) with a 48-volt electrical system and a classic eight-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration to the "hundred" takes 9.5 seconds, the maximum speed is 200 km/h. The car is 5,222 mm long and has a wheelbase of 3,200 km.
The model received a massive radiator grille with vertical chrome lamellas and LED projectors in the exterior mirror housings, projecting onto the ground an image of a soaring eagle with a span of 1.2 m. The cabin is designed for seven passengers (layout according to the scheme 2+2+3 ). Electric doors are provided on each side.
The second row has individual armchairs with an additional footrest, a folding table and the ability to adjust the backrest tilt up to 173°. The electric adjustment of the seats with 16 positions is carried out using buttons or a touch console (depending on the configuration). There is also a built-in massage system and an electric sliding armrest.
The day before, it was reported that Exlantix (part of the Chery concern) will start selling cars in Russia in April 2025. Two models will enter the market — the all-electric sedan ES and the hybrid crossover ET. Cars are being imported to Russia, and there are no plans to assemble them in the country yet.
