Lada car sales increased by 28% in a month

In February 2025, 26.7 thousand new Lada passenger cars and light commercial vehicles were sold in Russia. This is 28.4% more than in January of this year, AvtoVAZ said in a statement received by Izvestia on March 4.

Compared to February 2024, sales figures decreased by 4%. This is significantly better than the dynamics of the Russian car market, which, according to the company, decreased by 25% in February 2025, the company said.

Sales of the Lada Granta family in February increased by 15.2% compared to January 2025 and amounted to 9602 vehicles. In February, the Vesta family demonstrated the best dynamics among the brand's models. 8,601 units were sold, which is 38.9% more than in January of this year, and 26.1% higher than the result of February 2024.

Lada Largus, which was put back on the assembly line last year, showed the result of station wagons and 647 vans sold in 2019. Sales of Niva Legend amounted to 2,621 units (+39.8% compared to January of this year), and Niva Travel - 2,529 units (+1.3%). Lada commercial modifications improved the result almost three times year-on-year, reaching 1,304 units (+123.7%).

The day before, the head of AVTOVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, announced that the start of mass production of cars of the new Lada Iskra family will take place on April 19, 2025, exactly 55 years after the release of the first VAZ-2101 car. In June 2025, the company will hold the world premiere of a new crossover based on the Vesta platform.

On February 28, AvtoVAZ showed the interior design of the production model Lada Iskra. The car is designed taking into account the preferences of young customers, the company said.
