This was stated on March 4 by Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu at a meeting with Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Prime Minister of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing in Moscow.

The parties exchanged welcoming statements and continued negotiations in a closed format. During his opening speech, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council noted the high level of relations between the two countries.

"I look forward to the participation of a high—ranking Myanmar delegation in the thirteenth international meeting of high representatives in charge of security issues, which will be held on May 27-29 in Moscow," Shoigu said.

The Secretary of the Russian Security Council also expressed hope for the participation of the Myanmar delegation in the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
