Almost 30 million people attended the events of the Winter in Moscow project.

Almost 30 million people have become participants in the completed "Winter in Moscow" project. In three months, approximately 53 thousand events were held in the city, wrotein his personal blog, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
The project brought together the largest festivals: "Journey to Christmas", "Manors of Moscow", "Moscow Tea Party", "Moscow Maslenitsa", "Chinese New Year in Moscow", "Moscow traditions", as well as popular city events: the parade of Santa Claus and Snow Maiden, Student Days in Moscow, "Winter Day of Moscow sports" and more.
A lot of attention has traditionally been paid to charity. The citizens and guests of the capital collected and handed over more than 35 thousand gifts to the "Houses of Kindness" of the Moscow Helps project. Many people attended the winter charity festival "City of the Caring", the events of the volunteer project "Time of Kindness", the inclusive exhibition "World without Borders" at the Flacon design factory and became the "Santa Claus" of the "Make a Wish" campaign.
Citywide festivals were particularly popular. During the "Journey to Christmas", Muscovites and tourists got acquainted with fairy-tale characters and heroes of their favorite Soviet comedies and cartoons, mastered folk crafts and learned how to cook New Year's dishes at master classes, competed in strength, dexterity and accuracy.
More than 170 ice shows staged by the best Russian figure skaters took place at the project sites. Olympic champions and other sports stars took to the ice. The program includes performances based on favorite fairy tales: "The Nutcracker", "Swan Lake", "The Bremen Town Musicians", "The Snow Queen".
More than 37 thousand cups of Moscow tea were drunk at the Moscow Tea Party festival, and 120 thousand portions of pancakes were eaten during the Moscow Carnival.
