Three forest fires were extinguished in Primorsky Krai in a day

Almost 100 fires have occurred in Primorsky Krai in the last 24 hours. Three fires were recorded on the lands of the forest fund.

The area of forest fires was 92 hectares. They occurred in the Olginsky and Anuchinsky districts, the news agency PrimaMedia. Another 12 outbreaks have been eliminated on lands of other categories in Lazovsky, Pogranichny, Partizansky, Khasansky, Khankai, Shkotovsky districts, Artyomovsky and Nakhodka districts.

148 people and 28 pieces of equipment participated in the fires. On the morning of March 4, two fires continue to operate.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations assesses the fire situation as difficult. The first cases of wildfires spreading to populated areas have been recorded in the region. The situation is complicated by the fact that the winter was snowy. In addition, strong winds contribute to the spread of fire. There is a special fire protection regime in 14 municipalities, and a high—alert regime in six municipalities.
