Skating rink season ended in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

Free skating rinks are being closed in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk due to the warming. The ice cover has become uneven.

According to the mayor's office, skating rinks in the north of the city will be available for another week. The skating rink at the Kosmos stadium continues to operate, and Sakhalin residents will be notified of its closure.

The season started in mid-December, the news agency SakhalinMedia. High-quality ice was formed with the onset of stable subzero temperatures. Free skating rinks operated both in the center of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, as well as in villages and planning areas. A new skating rink has appeared in the village of Sanatorium.
