"A nine-year-old boy who was admitted to the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital of the Russian Ministry of Health yesterday is being treated in the intensive care unit. Doctors assess his condition as stable and serious," the statement said.
It is specified that the child will receive antibacterial therapy and local wound treatment. Such procedures will help the young patient and doctors prepare for the reconstructive surgical stage.
"Reconstructive plastic surgery is planned to restore the soft tissues of the face. This is a complex multi—stage process that will take a long time," said Anton Gennadievich Narbutov, Head of the surgical service of the Russian Ministry of Health, PhD.
