Deputy Mayor of Moscow Sergunina announced a series of free excursions

"In 2024, about 25 thousand people joined the series of such excursions. This season, Muscovites and tourists will be introduced to the history of more than 100 districts of the city," said the vice mayor.
As part of the cycle, over a thousand sightseeing tours will be held in the capital, about a third of which will take place along new routes. One of them will be organized in the Khovrino district: its participants will see the Grachevka estate, built at the end of the 19th century. Composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky and poet Valery Bryusov visited here.
Another tour is dedicated to the Northern Izmailovo district. The route runs along Lilac Boulevard, which is on the list of the longest in the capital. Those interested will visit the Alley of Sports Heroes and see the monument to the first artificial satellite of the Earth.
New excursions will start in June, and from March to May, residents and guests of the capital are invited to take a walk along the most popular routes of the past years. The guides will tell you about the sights of such areas as Lyublino, Zyuzino, Tsaritsyno, Khamovniki, Ramenki, Ostankinsky and many others.
The tour cycle has been prepared with the support of the "Walking in Moscow" project.
The Moscow Mayor's "My District" program involves creating comfortable living conditions in all areas of the capital: from comfortable courtyards and parks to modern infrastructure facilities within walking distance.
