Sergayeva proposed a three-tier rhythmic gymnastics team system

A three-tier system can be introduced into the Russian national rhythmic gymnastics team, which will consist of senior, junior, and pre-junior teams. "There will be a senior team, where famous, renowned top gymnasts work. There will be a junior team that will change all the time, because new athletes are appearing," said Sergayeva.

The junior team will be the youngest member. The head coach pointed out that it would be necessary to work seriously with gymnasts from this group, because this category is very mobile.

Sergayeva noted that in such a system there will definitely be a succession of generations. In her opinion, it is worth holding a series of gatherings where children will prove themselves. She considers it necessary to invite athletes who have shown good results at official competitions to these screenings.

At the same time, Sergayeva pointed out that the issue of the structure of the national team is debatable. She shared that when she was working with the junior team, before selecting the squad, she attended any significant competitions with lists of gymnasts whose performances she would like to see.

Oleg Belozerov, President of the Russian Gymnastics Federation, announced on February 22 during the awarding ceremony at the Russian Championships that Sergayeva had become the new head coach of the Russian national rhythmic gymnastics team.
