Moscow, in response to sanctions from Tokyo, decided to ban the entry of nine Japanese citizens, including the country's Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya. This was stated on March 3 in a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry on its on the website.
"As part of the response to the ongoing sanctions actions of official Tokyo against our country in connection with a special military operation, it was decided to indefinitely ban Japanese citizens from entering the Russian Federation," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
