The SBU has charged singer Grigory Leps in absentia.

Security Service Ukraine (SBU) has charged Russian singer Grigory Leps in absentia. This was announced on March 3 by the press service of the Ukrainian department.
"The SBU informed Grigory Leps of the suspicion in absentia," the Telegram channel said in a statement.
It is clarified that he is accused of publicly supporting the Russian army in a special military operation in Ukraine, including for financial assistance.
In addition, the SBU pointed to his promise to pay the Russian military 1 million rubles for each destroyed tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which he made at a concert in 2023.
"He repeatedly handed over humanitarian aid in the form of bulletproof vests, sets of underwear and food," the ministry added.
Earlier, on February 25, the SBU in absentia filed charges against the Russian author and performer SHAMAN (real name is Yaroslav Dronov). The Ukrainian authorities accused him of publicly approving a special military operation of the Russian Federation, including through performances at concerts in support of Russia.
